I am considering installing Sendy on my Business Account. I hope to send one newsletter per month for 3000 subscribers. It's possible? Can I experience a problem? Thank you

Hi Marc.

Thanks for posting your question regarding if Sendy can be installed on the Business Class server. Generally speaking, as long as the installation does not require root access and the server meets the minimum requirements for Sendy, then it can be installed. I apologize I was unable to locate the minimum requirements for installing Sendy on their website or in their documentation. If you are able to obtain that information from them we can certainly review the capabilities of the server and advise whether that is possible for a Business Class server.

In regards to experiencing problems sending to 3K subscribers monthly, there are a few things to keep in mind. For instance, you need to make sure that your custom SPF record is configured to authorize whichever server/IP Sendy uses to send emails through your domain. For more information on SPF records check out our Guide to SPF Records.

Also, you will need to ensure that the software you are using can limit the rate of sending, for instance, sending XX/hour. Depending on the resources necessary for 3K emails to be sent and due to the shared nature of the server, it would be best to send that many emails in batches, rather than all at once.

I hope this helps!

Sincerely,

Carlos D.
