how to protect index.php files from script injections?

Every few months I find that all index.php files on my site have been script injected, and this results in an inoperative site. I keep changing passwords, have changed permissions on those files to 444, and still this happens. What more can I do?

Hello Petekarn! Sorry for the trouble with the code injection. It sounds like you may have a backdoor shell script in your files somewhere. The following articles will help you find the hack I think my website has been hacked Malicious user activity and hacks Clean up a code injection attack Cleaning up a .htaccess hack If you need our systems support to scan your files you can submit a ticket for them to review your files. We may be able to find the hack. Best Regards, James R
