How to remove text inside the Username and Password textbox?

I wanted to remove the default text inside the Username and Password textbox in my login form. (i.e. there's a "User Name" text inside the Username textbox.) I have looked at the back end of the system if there's a settings for it and also did looked at the mod_login.php but seem to can't find the options to remove the text. Need help. Thanks.
