Too many connections ettor

Hi,

Form time to time for brief moments I am getting a mysql too many connections error. I am not using mysql_pconnect at all and I close all connections once the page is loaded.

What could be causing this? Is there a problem with the MySQL servers?

Hello uttedu5, and thanks for your question. Sorry to hear that you're having intermittent connectivity issues with your MySQL database. Is this something that has just recently started happening to your knowledge, and have you recently adjusted either your code or server's MySQL settings? It appears that you have a handful of websites, were you having these issues across all of them, or just a certain one? I do see that some of your websites seem to be getting quite a bit a traffic , at times as high as 1,500 requests in a minute, so you very well could simply be hitting your max 30 concurrent connections at times. We have an article on how to edit your MySQL my.cnf file that you can follow if you had root access to your server to raise your max_connections to something higher like maybe 100 or so.
