Sporadic Database Connection for my WordPress Site

For the last week our site has been down sporadically and we receive the above error message constantly. Even after logging into the administrator portal on Wordpress, I'm unable to do anything because I constantly get Wordpress's error message that they are unable to establish a database connection. This is ridiculous!

I investigated this further and since you are hosted on different servers, your issues are unrelated. thehrdifference: The server you are on has been experiencing effects of a DDOS attack. Our senior systems administrators are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. We greatly appreciate your patience, and are updating our status page with current information. We are happy to help, but will need a little more information, such as the domain name of the site you are getting the error on, and where/when the error occurred.
