Unknown storage engine 'InnoDB' (oh no my site is gone) help please

My site is down with this funky message.

Unknown storage engine 'InnoDB' SQL=INSERT INTO `nfix_session` (`session_id`, `client_id`, `time`) VALUES ('bf0313e9377fc3aa605cc80ca6b0a877', 0, '1378351076')

I read in some of the forums that this could be fixed adding innodb functionality
how and where would I do that.

Any idea how to fix this issue quickly?

it my live site..

This happened I think because of tapping accidentally on Joomla's update button on the dashboard.
it started acting up since then.
