How to Install a Higher Version of PHP for Cloud Apps

I tried to install two of the personel cloud apps and both ask for a higher version of PHP. How is this installed?

Hello Kc4zgq,

Thanks for your question about installing a higher version of PHP.  This may be affected by your account type (shared hosting, VPS, or Dedicated server), but PHP versions are up to 7.3.7 on cPanel and can be set via the cPanel.  Here are the steps:

  • Login to you cPanel
  • Scroll down to the Software section and click on PHP Configuration
  • Select the Version you want to use from the drop-down list and then click Update.

If you're on a VPS or Dedicated server, you would need Root access and then you can use EasyApache to add different versions of PHP to your site.  If you require further assistance we recommend that you contact our live technical support team.
