Joomla Password Fails on new Softaculous Installation

When I choose to install using your Joomla 3.0x script it does it just fine. But despite what the password I give, it will not allow me to log into the backend. I did a screen shot of all my details figuring I might just be typing something wrong. But no. Your install is placing it's own access that I can't get into. Please advise.

Hi,

I am from the Softaculous team.

There was a small issue, on servers running cPanel's 3rd party PHP with version 5.2
The password encryption was incorrect because Joomla 3.x uses crypt() function to encrypt the password and this function has a different behavior on PHP 5.2 and 5.3

We have made the changes in the Joomla package in Softaculous to adjust with the environment and encrypt the password appropriately. The package is launched and should be available on all serves within 24 hours.

To get the package immediately execute the following CRON command :
Root> /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/php /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/softaculous/cron.php

Hello shadowdancer36, Thank you for your question. I tested this in my cPanel, and the same problem is occurring for me as well. I looked into this further, and the password does not seem to be getting pushed in to the database. I was able to work around this, by adding a password to the database. I recommend following our guide titled "How to reset your Joomla Password," you will then be able to login to Joomla successfully. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I have reported this to our System Administrators, and they will investigate further. If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below. Thank you, -John-Paul
