I cannot log into my OpenCart admin

I forgot my password. i am trying to change it in the database but it still does not work. i tried using the password given in this article https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/opencart/339-how-to-reset-my-opencart-admin-password, but it still isn't working. what am i doing wrong?
