php file corrupt - encoding issue

I wrote a php file using the phpexcel class last night. It was working perfectly when I went to bed ;-> Now it appears the encoding has changed (??) so it is unreadable. Is there some way to restore it/change the encoding? I tried the dropdown choices but no luck.

If you checked the various encoding options within cPanel and none of them were able to read the file, it seems that there is more than just an encoding issue with the file. I recommend restoring this file from any backups that you may have created. We do keep backups that run ever 24-36 hours, but it looks like we did not have a good copy of the file when you last spoke with Technical Support. It appears that you will need to re-create the file or restore from any backups that you may have been keeping.
