can a template parameter turn off article options like author, etc

I would like to create template parameters which can turn off article parameter like author name, create date, etc without having to go to the article manager

Hello Dean-O, Thanks for the question! From what I've read in this article on Joomla templatesr, the parameters do not include those items. Under the Basic Details section, you'll see that this information is in the templateDetails.xml file. You can remove it or edit in there. I hope that helps to answer your question!
