wrong owner is listed for my website

I was doing some reviews checking for my site and came upon a site called scamadvisor.com. They did an analysis and are stating that the owner of my website is http://www.melbourneit.com, not me. Why is this?

Hello, and thank you for your question. If you have registered a domain name from InMotion Hosting then you will see MelbourneIT in the Registrar info. The same is actually true for inmotionhosting.com as well, which can be seen by doing a whois lookup on the domain: 
whois inmotionhosting.com

Domain Name: inmotionhosting.com
Registrar WHOIS Server: whois.melbourneit.com
Registrar URL: http://www.melbourneit.com.au
Registrar: Melbourne IT Ltd
Registrant Name: InMotion Hosting, Inc
MelbourneIT is a very large Registrar that has many reseller of its domain registration services, one common one of note is Yahoo. Everything dealing with your domain registration, and any support needs that you have are handled by InMotion Hosting directly, and you own the domain name itself. It looks like that website shows the main parent Registrar as MelbourneIT as the owner, but the Administrator and Technical contact should still reflect either yourself, or InMotion's dns-protect.net if you have private domain registration.
