DNS error when adding an addon domain in cPanel

Dear Sir or Madam,

I'm trying to add an addon domain using cPanel but the following error appears:

"The zone for the root domain MAIN-DOMAIN is missing, or could not be read. The IP address will be read from the webserver configuration and a new zone will be created for this subdomain. Created DNS entry for MAIN-DOMAIN. Unable to add record for MAIN-DOMAIN. Unable to set up SPF for 'ADDON-DOMAIN': Cpanel::DnsUtils /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/DnsUtils.pm 738 Empty dns zone MAIN-DOMAIN".

I had previously added the addon domain but I removed it later.
