Google Analytics code not working in Joomla 2.5

Hi,

I followed your instructions in your post (https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/joomla-25/309-google-analytics) and added the GA code to our website. I am able to see the GA code when I view the source code of our home page. But when I checked the my GA account the Tracking code Status is "Tracking Not Installed". What I am doing wrong here. Please help.

Hello, and thank you for your question. It looks like your Google Analytics tracking code is setup correctly. However it can take some time before Google Analytics shows that the tracking code is installed successfully, as you have to wait for Google to scan your website again. In the mean time, to confirm if your Google Analytics tracking code is working you can simply go to the Real-Time > Overview section of your dashboard and if you visit your website where you've installed the tracking code, you should see at least the 1 active user on the site right now. Please let us know if you're not seeing this. You might have to go to the Admin menu at the top of Google Analytics and then click on Property Settings for your website and ensure that the Default URL for your website is properly setup. - Jacob
