I have used a simple copy-paste thing to edit my overall_header.html file (phpbb3) and now my index.php doesn't work. You may have introduced errors into your overall_header.html file when you copy-pasted the code. This could be causing your index.php file to not work. To troubleshoot the issue, you can try the following:
