Cannot change cPanel theme

Recently I saw that there was a way to change the theme applied to my cPanel. So I started looking through the available options in the dropdown to see what they looked like. Unfortunately, for the theme titled 'x2' there isn't a way to change the theme again. Once the x2 theme loads, the dropdown that contains the theme list disappears. So I'm stuck.

Does anyone know how to switch the cPanel back to one of the more modern themes?

Hello, Thank you for your question. This seems to be an issue with the latest updates in cPanel and the x2 theme. At this time the only way to change the theme back is by contacting Live Support, so they can do it. Hopefully a fix from cPanel will be pushed out soon.
