Would like help to setup an internal Dokuwiki website for my departmen

I am new to the department (and IT world) and was given the project of setting up an internal wiki page for our department. I have a great deal of documentation that needs to be organized and posted. Would anyone be able to give me some advice on the best way to do this as well as how to organize and make it intuitive and user friendly?
