How to automatically delete emails retrieved with Microsoft Live mail

I use Microsoft Live mail on a Win 7 PC. I have set it up to delete emails from my server after five days. It does not appear to be deleting these emails from our In Motion Hosting email server. I do know that if I set up Microsoft Live Mail to delete emails as soon as retrieved, this does work. How do we get the delayed deletion to work?

Hello, It may be possible that you are deleting the emails on the client however they are not being deleted from the server. It seems that there is an option for this within the settings by following the information from this guide. I would suggest making it purge deleted emails when leaving the folders as explained in the last paragraph on that page. Best Regards, TJ Edens
