Thanks for letting us know. We're glad you got it to work!
Hey Arnol, thanks for the info. I called Apple and got it resolved. it was the installed inmotionhosting configuration profiles (settings -> general -> profiles). Somehow I agreed to have them auto-installed and that was the reason why the email accounts did not have a delete account button.
Anyway, the profiles did not update properly and that’s how I got “certicate not trusted”. We deleted the profiles and added the email accounts back in the old-fashioned way (settings -> passwords & accounts).

Hello Danielle,
I'm not sure if the issue is resolved or not, but apologies for the problems with getting the "certificate not trusted" errors on your iphone and ipad. The SSL certificate is not initially installed for email. It is installed for the domain and can be set for your email if you have a VPS or Dedicated server subscription. iOS cannot always validate certificates. You can find Apple's article about trusting certificates here. I tried those instructions on my own iPhone 6 and it was not successful (I was using iOS 12.4).
If your account is on a VPS or Dedicated Server, then you can update the service certificates through the Web Host Manager (WHM). This will allow you to use your SSL certificate for your email. If you need help setting that up, then please contact our live technical support team for additional assistance.
If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.
Kindest regards,
Arnel C.
When we try to sent messages some times we get this error message. We type continue and it works. BUT we are getting mail undeliverable messages some times also with not much of an explanation. We don't know if it is on their side or ours.
Our tech person is not available so I am hoping you can help us.
