How to completely erase a theme?

After deleting the theme (eList) from public_html > wp-content > themes, I uploaded the eList them again. However, the home page, categories and tags, etc. retains the contents of the deleted theme. How do I reset everything to the original theme?

Hello Kiddieloop, If you installed Wordpress via Softaculous then you can go in there and remove the installation then re-install Wordpress. Best Regards, TJ Edens

Hello Kiddieloop,

Thank you for your question on how to reset your theme in WordPress. You do need to login to the WordPress admin area to perform the theme switch. We have an article that gives you instructions on how to change your theme in WordPress. From here you can switch the theme and then remove the old theme. This should be all you need to change back to the original.
