Lost access to SSH

We lost access to one of our installs and when I went to log into through SSH and I keep getting the following:

login as: root
root@*********.com's password:
Access denied

I have also tried logging directly into the IP address provided. I have changed the password through the AMP portal and made sure that my IP address has been added to the firewall rules in the WHM firewall tool. I'm at a loss for how to get back in. Any help is appreciated. My phone number is *removed by moderator*.

Hello Dave, Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your login. It sounds as if your root password may have been changed. I have sent the current root password to the primary email address on file for the account. If you do not receive it or do not know which email address should receive it, you will want to contact the Live Support team in order to have them give it to you. Be sure to verify your account with either the current AMP password or the last 4 digits of the credit card on file.
