How to View Saved Passwords
It’s not easy to remember which password you used for which website. iOS natively helps with password management (iCloud Keychain) and can even auto-fill the information while you’re surfing the web. This data is secured by FaceID, TouchID, or your passcode, so you can rest assured that your passwords will not be accessed without your permission.
If you have saved passwords while using Safari, then you can view the saved passwords using iOS devices that are logged in under your AppleID. The steps below will guide you through the process to view your saved password(s) using iOS.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Tap on the Passwords & Accounts option.
- Tap on Website & App Passwords.
NOTE: You will need to authenticate using FaceID, TouchID, or your passcode to access this secure area.
- Once you authenticate, you will be on the screen that you can view some details of the saved passwords. Tap on an item to view the password.
How to Search for Saved Passwords
You can search for saved passwords by website or username. When you navigate to the Website & App Passwords section, you will see a search bar at the top. If you have saved the password for your website, then you can begin typing your domain and it will display options that match.
