Can't access ftp via Mac Finder, why?

I can't access ftp using "Connect to Server" via Finder in my iMac.

I used different paths:
ftp://mydomainname.com
ftp://mydomainname.com:21
ftp.mydomainname.com
etc...
Every time the window shake and nothing happens.

The password and the username ([email protected]) are OK.

I don't know if I am doing something wrong. Can you help me please?
