problem with images in static site migrated to inmotion hosting

Hi,
I load 2 static sites. With the first no problem viewing site. I used the path of the hosting and the path of the site.
http://xxxxxxxx.inmotionhosting.com/-xxxxxxx/example.com/
In the second site I could browse all pages, no problem with that. But the problem is that loads only some images. Most of the images have a relative path. Most of links are absolute path. The site is ok in the old server. I'm not familiarised with editing hosts file. Any suggestion about what is going on? thank's in advance

Hello Irene.F Sorry to hear you are having issues with your images. If you are using the temp URL format (server###.inmotionhosting.com/~user/) then relative paths may cause an issue. This will not be the case once the domain is pointed to our servers. A hosts file mod is the best way to view a site that is not yet pointed. It is not a difficult thing to do once you get used to it. Give that a try and see if it helps you view your images properly. Kindest Regards, Scott M
