I thought that shared plans can use ruby?

How do I get ruby to work on my shared plan so that I may build my programming skills? Thanks! I believe I understand you cannot do rails and build a ruby website but I should be able to do ruby programming or install ruby?... I'm lost, sorry...

Hello Digitalcurtis, Sorry for the confusion over using ruby with our hosting service. Yes, Ruby on Rails can be used on our shared server configurations as it is already installed. You can see the version of Ruby by using SSH (follow the link for the command if you need it). Our sales page on Ruby describes the overall installation of Ruby on our servers.
