How to Regain Access After OpenCart Update With Softaculous

On all pages of bigapeart.com the following error is listed: Notice: unserialize() [function.unserialize]: Error at offset 0 of 5 bytes in /home/bigape5/public_html/index.php on line 54.


It also shows on the bigapeart/admin page with no formatting or other information and unable to login to make edits or changes to the site.


This happened after Softaculous attempted to install the Opencart 2.2 update.


Any help would be appreciated.

Hello REKent, Sorry to hear you are having issues with your OpenCart 2.x site. I checked your site and am seeing no error messages. Were you able to correct the issue yourself? If not, or if others are having the same issue, you will likely want to restore your site and database from backups made before the upgrade. Then, you should attempt a manual upgrade since the Softaculous upgrade did not work so well. Kindest Regards, Scott M
