Passing SSL certificate from shared host to VPS

I am considering getting an SSL certificate for my shared host website. I am wondering if I would be able to continue using the same certificate for the full period of it's validity if I were to upgrade to a VPS plan?

Hello, Thank you for your question about passing SSL certificate from shared host to VPS. Yes, it is possible to use the same SSL for the rest of its life. You will just need to "re-key" the SSL on the new server. Best, Christopher M.
