Squirrel mail gone squirrelley

Suddenly, Squirrel Mail looks nothing like it did. Titles of emails appear as html links, and open as emails. The page itself (before opening) looks as if it was ready to be ftp'd up to a server, to there appear as something readable. The only change I have made is in Roundcube settings, not in Squirrel mail. Does this ring a bell?
