Response not received using Telnet mail command

I am establishing connection with telnet in node program, the connection is established properly but when i give it a command- mail from i receive no response from telnet can anybody help me out on this?

Hello Shivanik, Thanks for the question about using telnet to make a mail connection. The option is most likely blocked by security on the server. The Mail connection is generally reserved to the mail server using POP3 or IMAP protocols. You can use telnet to check for connections, but not for mail transactions.
