Sending mail is very slow

Hi,
longtime customer here - lately sending mail by smtp through the secure200 server has been pretty slow, taking sometimes almost a minute to send a few hundred byte text email. I've tried many different settings and the ones that work are all slow. Is that server overloaded?

Hello Paul, Sorry for the problem with the email server slowly sending your messages. The problem could be either a network or server related issue. In order determine the problem you will need to work with our live technical support team. >Run a ping/traceroute diagnostic to the server to see if there is a network issue. You will need to submit the results to the live technical support team via ticket so that they can determine cause of the problem. I hope that helps to answer your question!
