i designed a web site with my iMac. the webdesigner programme is rapid weaver. I uploaded the mass an got thumbs up by my programme but still I can´t open the website! Does someone has a sofistikated guess what the f... reason for this is? please help me

Hello RoobooDoc, I took a look at your account and you had a few problems. 1) You did not upload the files into the correct location. You will have find a way to make Rapidweaver upload the files into the correct folder. They need to go into the public_html folder. I renamed the folder to correct the issue. But there was one other problem. 2)The server is looking for an INDEX file (index.htm, index.html, or index.php) to start, and the file must be in the root of the public_html (meaning that when I first open the public_html folder, the index file should be there). The index file is used as the launching point for the website. This is standard with most web hosts through the document root (also called web root, but is public_html in our case) folder. I attempted to fix this by moving your files directly in the root of the folder. You might want to take a look now and see if this is what you wanted. If it's not, then you can use File Manager in your Cpanel to delete the files and re-publish AFTER setting the proper settings in Rapid Weaver. You may need to clear your browser cache in order to see the website. (How to clear browser cache) The other thing that may be holding you up is your domain. According to the domain settings, it was just registered today. Typically, domains need up to 24 hours of propagation time. I hope this helps to clear things up. You will need review your documentation of RapidWeaver - the "thumbs up" message you get from them only indicates that the files were successfuly uploaded to the server.
