Unable to upload media files

Hi there,
i use wordpress for my website and have been trying to add media files such as pictures (jpegs) but i keep getting an error message saying:

"Unable to create directory uploads/2013/06. Is its parent directory writable by the server?"

is this to do with my hosting setting? please help!

Hello personalprogress! You can set the permissions for your folders in your File Manager. You can log into your cPanel and go to the file manager. In there the permissions can be set for files and folders. You can set the permissions to 775. Best regards, James R
