delete copies of messages on mail server

Live Mail on my computer was originally set to save a copy of the message to the server. Now I have 1,000 old messages I don't need and they pop up every time I try to check my mail on my iPhone.

How do I delete the old copies from the mail server?

Hello, Thanks for the question! Probably the easiest way to handle this would be to pull up your email on a computer. If you're not using an email client like Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird, the try using webmail. When you're using webmail, you're pulling the email directly from the server. If you're using a client using POP, then the email is saved down to your computer and not kept on the server. You can also use your iPhone to delete emails - but if you're deleting a large group of emails, you may want to do it on a computer screen. If you directions on how to change your settings in your iPhone to delete emails off the server, check out this Delete email from iPhone settings. I hope this helps to answer your question!
