Cpanel Webmail Upgrade Help

The webmail in my cpanel is a bit outdated. I went to the webmail host site and found a new download version. The current version is outdated by four years. However I could not find the webmail directory in the file manager. Is there a way to upgrade or is that limited to the server?

Hello, Thank you for your question. In a shared environment, upgrades are not always performed immediately since it can affect the existing user settings. There are several email options available in Softaculous, that can be easily installed. Among them are the latest stable versions of Roundcube, and SquirrelMail. Here is how you can view the mail programs in softaculous:
  1. Login to cPanel.
  2. Click the Softaculous button, in the Software/Services section.
  3. On the left menu, click Mails. You will then see all the available webmail programs
