Seemingly Blocked Hotmail Address
One of our contractors has just recently (today) been unable to send email to anyone with an @brothersmfg.com email address, except, for some odd reason, one in the field person. He is sending from a @hotmail.com address. He can receive email from @brothersmfg.com, and he can send and receive messages from anyone else.
Could there be some server level filter that has newly blocked him? The error message he receives is:
>From: [email protected]
>To: [email protected]
>Date: Tue, 10 Jun 2014 06:03:08 -0700
>Subject: Delivery Status Notification (Failure)
>
>This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

>Delivery to the following recipients failed.

It does seem that the hotmail IP address is being blocked. However, it is not by our servers, but by the SpamCop blacklisting service. This means that any business that uses SpamCop with their email servers will block this IP address.
In checking, it appears there is more than one hotmail IP address being blocked. These IP addresses are owned by Microsoft (hotmail) so they will need to contact SpamCop in order to get them delisted. It seems that your client may simply be an unfortunate victim in this issue.
Kindest Regards,
