Visiting hosted sites very slow from overseas

Hi there,

I'm working on a client site hosted with InMotion, on of several he has here. My client is in the US, I'm in Australia. One particular site is almost entirely inaccessible to me - so slow that it either times out or only loads some resources.

However, if I access the site via a proxy or VPN, the connection is fairly responsive. Very odd.

Any assistance would be great.
