printer and file sharing

i have a small business network and all pc's have win7 and i have a laptop and i want to share my folder and printer with that laptop which is runnning windows 8.1 which i connect via wifi i dont have any domain or anyother server its just a small network and a normal sharing i fail to share every time i try pls help me out with this
