Opera Mail log-in problem(s)

I have tried repeatedly, as have several InMotion Supporters, to configure Opera Mail so that it can communicate with your server. Everything from POP account, authentication protocol and even Port numbers appears correct. Configuration screenshots have been sent to verify settings. Yet this increasingly irritating e-mailer consistently responds: "Authentication failed... The server responded: Log-in failed."

For decades, Eudora 7.1 was wonderful. But now it has its own log-in problems. And Thunderbird's editor is exasperatingly quirky. I am about to give up and try another e-mailer. But your excellent Carlos E has persuaded me to put this matter to Support Center as a last resort. All thoughts will be welcome.

Hello, Sorry to hear about your email client problem. I did a test, as many before me I'm sure, and was able to connect via the Opera Mail client to a test account on your hosting account without issue. Sadly, we are unable to test anything from your side as it would require for us to be at your location. The only thing I think we could test would be your exact email with your exact login credentials. Unfortunately we cannot do this from the Support Center as all information here is public. For that test, you would need to recontact Live Support . Kindest Regards, Scott M
