Magento upgrade to 1.9.2 failed via softaculous scripts

Attempting to upgrade Magento from 1.9.1.0 to 1.9.2.0 via the softaculous scripts at inmotion resulted in an error saying the database user name or password were incorrect, then the script failed without message. Checking to see that the DB user and password were correct did not resolve. Script erroneously said that the update had succeeded after multiple attempts, but Magento installation was still at 1.9.1.0.

Hello [email protected], That does seem very odd with that error but it may be due to the fact that Magento updates are a very tedious and difficult task at times. I would suggest trying to update your Magento installation manually until Softaculous has resolved its method for update Magento. Best Regards, TJ Edens
