Upload theme doesn't work in WordPress

i downloaded and installed WordPress 4.4 successfully. i am trying to install a new theme by uploading the zip file but after clicking on a new theme , and the upload theme button comes up , nothing happens.


please help what to do

Hello, Thank you for your question on installing themes within WordPress. Was this a new installation of WordPress or did you upgrade from an existing WordPress package? I just installed a new copy of WordPress and was able to direct to the theme upload area as well as upload a theme with no problem. You could try enabling wp-degub within the wp-config.php.
