My old account expired and I need to transfer my domain - What do I need to do?

My contract with Bluehost expired. I opened an InMotion account. My bluehost domain is locked and I can't log in to them to unlock it. What do I do?

Hello BudGrace, Thank you for your question regarding transferring a locked domain. Unfortunately, your Registrar (BlueHost) would have to unlock the domain for you before it can be transferred elsewhere. This is because the domain is in their control, and requires them to release it. I recommend contacting them and requesting they unlock and release your domain, so you can transfer it to InMotion.
