I'm trying to move my site to Shopify. How do I unlock my domain and where do I get the code?

You need to complete these steps with your current provider:

  • Log in to your current provider and check their transfer policy.
  • Unlock your domain.
  • Confirm that your admin email is up to date.
  • Get an authorization code from your provider.

I can only find information on transferring a domain to InMotion, not transferring my site away.

Also, keep in mind you can still host your domain on any server by pointing to the nameservers or the A record.
