How do I get my email setup inThunderbird?

"thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account" is the error message i get when i try for imap or pop.

Thanks for submitting a question about getting email into Thunderbird. Use your email settings to set up an account in thunderbird. If you use POP the messages will be downloaded. If you use IMAP, they will sync.
