Can you help resolve a 406 error on my vBulletin site?
I'm hosting a Vbulletin site and I have a problem with greek characters which give a 406 Not Acceptable error in two php files.
This problem is caused by Mod Security, so I need to create some rules in conjuction with Inmotionhosting to resolve this.
When I submitted a support ticket for that, the Inmotionhosting Technical Support answered me that Vbulletin is responsible for coding issues and they can only disable Mod Security.
Does Inmotionhosting still believe that Vbulletin is responsible for server software issues?

Thanks for posting your question today. I'm more than happy to assist you. Typically, we do not offer coding support for third party software. However, depending on what you're trying to accomplish we can attempt to help you find a viable solution.
A 406 error is due to mod security. In instances like this we recommend turning off mod security. Mod security can be turned off for your entire account or for a single domain.
The issue is not with the server itself or the coding, but how your vBulletin software interacts with server. With this being the case, it's the coding within the PHP files causing the issue. The code is not broken but simply using specific coding that is causing mod_security to flag it.
If you would like to turn mod security off for your domain, please feel free to email the request to [email protected]. Also, make sure to include your domain name and the last four of the credit card on file OR the current AMP password for security purposes.
If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.
Thanks!
