How do I reset my root directory?

I need to flush my site as I accidently uploaded files to the root directory, and dont' know which folders/files should or should'nt be in there.

Hello basix101! The files you see in your home directory on a default install are the following. etc mail public_html public_ftp www tmp All the other files can be removed. Best Regards, James R
