i am locked out of my wordpress

I have tried to log in, and when I put in my username and password i could not enter my /wp-admin page, it keeps saying my username is wrong, but it is the one i registered with, i dont know how to unlock the wp-admin because i tried multiple times. please let me know

Hello jennyclee, and thank you for your question. If you've been locked out of your WordPress website because you've forgotten your admin username you can view this in the MySQL database that WordPress stores your data in. If you've forgotten the WordPress admin password, you can follow my guide on creating a secure WordPress admin password which explains the process of logging into cPanel and then resetting your password from Step 9 where it talks about accessing phpMyAdmin. Basically you want to navigate to your WordPress database and look for the wp_users table. Your admin username would be one of the user_login fields, and then you can reset your admin password by updating the user_pass field with the password you'd like to use, but you do want to make sure you're selecting MD5 as the type of field so that it converts it into an encrypted password WordPress can read.
