Transfer my domain and registry

I am transferring to a new hosting service. I need clear instructions on how to obtain my EPP authorization code to transfer my domain and registry to their services.
These instruction did not work: https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/domain-names/registrations-and-transfers/how-to-unlock-domain-name-retrieve-authorization-code
MelbourneIT has no record of me under my domain name fencingacademy.net or under my InMotion username. I have never had an account with them.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hello William, and thanks for your question. In regards to the how to unlock your domain name and retrieve your Authorization Code article that you mentioned above. As it states in the 3rd paragraph:

IMPORTANT! If you need to transfer your domain name to another registrar and have not yet contacted our tech support department for assistance, you'll want to do that first...

Followed by the next paragraph: If you've contacted Support and we've released the domain name for you, you will have received an email from us stating that we have released the domain's management rights to you. At this point, follow the provided steps to retrieve your authorization code and unlock your domain name. Melbourne IT isn't going to have any record for your domain name, until you contact us to release your domain into their control. It looks like this happened for your about 10 minutes ago after you called in, so you should be good to follow the rest of the steps in that article now to get your EEP code. Please let us know if you are having any further issues at all. - Jacob
