I don't understand Step #3 for installing a new web site

I'm in "Preparing your Wordpress installation for the move." Step #3 Next, look for the WordPress address (URI): and change it from (example.com/wordpress to example.com). I assume that it means, I use my present URI and drop the /wordpress. Correct?

Hello, Yes, that is essentially what it means. If your current WordPress site is under example.com/wordpress and you are moving it to example.com, then you simply need to remove the subfolder (/wordpress) from the URI. This way it will go to example.com for the future. Kindest Regards, Scott M
