I motion'so IMAP mail stop fetching in iOS 8 after a few days

Hi, I currently switch to a new phone running ios8 and have configured it to fetch mail (IMAP) from inmotion server according to your official instructions. Everything works without a hitch for around 3-4 days when the mail app will stop receiving new mails. It still thinks that there's no problem but still can't see new Mail while my Mac logged onto the same email account are receiving new mail just fine.

I have tried deleting and re-adding email accounts several time now and it'll only work for a few days before once again reverting to faulty behaviour. Other email account on the same phone still work just fine though. Please let me know how this can be fixed.

within iOS, mail settings are stored within a file internally on the phone which if it becomes corrupted or has any other issues, can falsely report that the settings are incorrect and thus not display new mail. When this happens, typically the phone ceases to connect to the server at all in which the server is no longer able to relay any information to the device.

Unfortunately, if this happens, nothing can be done on the server side of things because the phone never connects to the server to begin with and the issue solely resides on the device itself. It is possible that you may have an issue within the device itself that is causing this and your best solution may be to contact Apple for a possible solution.
