Trying to install laravel on server

Hi. I installed laravel through the cpanel and it seems to have installed just find. But when I go to visit the address on my browser I do not get the normal "You have arrived" page that you get when installing laravel. I copied my app files that are necessary to the server and tried visiting on the the views but it does not give me the normal laravel error, it only shows the error 404 page. There must be a setting or something I need to turn on to get laravel "activated" after install but I am not sure what I am missing. Any help would be very appreciated!
